Chris Paul “CP3 Day” / Nitro Pack Release!

An old coworder / friend, Fausto Merida gave me a call asking if we’d be interested in bringing some cars out for a special event thrown by the Nike Jordan Brand team at the LA Fire Academy and with no hesitation, we committed. Besides cars, basketball has been something we’ve always been into and having the chance to being both together was a no brainer.

We were told that Jordan Brand would be debuting three new color ways of Chris Paul’s shoe under the “Nitro Pack” name and there would be some other basketball related things going on. With not much information, we headed out to Los Angeles with the two Tjin Edition Camaros and the Tjin Edition Honda Civic.

When we arrived, everything was still in the set up stages but we quickly found out there there would be students from all across LA County that were invited to try on the shoes and take part in various skills tests as well as see a celebrity game. Jalen Rose, The Game, Common, and of course, Chris Paul all took part and put on quite a show with Chris Paul hitting the game winner.

Overall, it was an awesome experience being able to showcase our cars in front of a new audience as well as open doors for some great new partnerships in the process.

Tjin Edition Chevrolet Camaro 1LE!

Well, hello there! Back again with another car shoot – this time it’s the Tjin Edition Chevrolet Camaro 1LE that was designed and built for the 2012 SEMA Show.

Although I’ve been over photographing cars since the HCI Magazine (yes, that’s a MySpace link!,) I actually don’t mind shooting one from time to time. Seeing what some of the current “automotive photographers” put out really makes me want to get back to shooting but then I remember how quickly I got burnt out doing it. There are a handful of guys out there, and when I say handful, I probably mean like one or two, who’s work I actually enjoy looking at like Sean Klingenhoefer but other then that, that’s kind of it. One thing I do miss is the traveling side and meeting new people side but other than that, that’s kind of it.

Anyways, enough rambling. About the build, some quick modifications are the custom DuPont paint, Vortech Superchargers blower, one-off Rotiform wheels, custom Katzin interior, Scosche audio components and more. At SEMA, the Camaro was awarded the always coveted GM Design Award for β€œBest GM Sports Car” as well as “Best New Performance Product” by the GM Design Team.

OK, enough typing, enjoy the pictures – and for more things Tjin Edition, be sure to follow along on Facebook at facebook.com/tjinedition and Instagram at instagram.com/tjinedition.

Carbon Revolution.

As some of you know, I started working at Wheel Warehouse early in 2012 handling their marking, social media, website and some online sales. With that, I’ve had the chance to go on a few adventures and shoot some pretty cool stuff, including going out to Chuckwalla Raceway with Carbon Revolution.

Below are some pictures of an Audi R8 that we test fit some wheels on at the shop as well as our day at the track, enjoy!

LA Auto Show!

Yay, the LA Auto Show!

As usual, we took the annual trip to Los Angeles for the LA Auto Show since Neil’s Camaro was on display in the Kentia Hall downstairs. We took the kids to run around and look to look at things… obviously I don’t feel like writing about an auto show so feel free to scroll down and look at the pictures.

Bentley Continental GT3 Release Shindig!

If you know Jason Siu, you know Jason Siu hates everything. Every thing. One thing near the top of his list is driving and driving far and leaving Orange County to go to Los Angeles County is definitely “driving far.”

With his AutoGuide.com gig requiring him to go up to Los Angeles for the reveal of the Bentley Continental GT3 racecar, he asked me if I wanted to make the drive up with him and since I’m such an amazing friend, I obliged. We headed up to Smashbox Studios and got there just a few minutes before the event was supposed to kick off. Although the car was under a tarp, there were posters of it all over the venue which was a little strange but nonetheless, people were excited… those people did not include Jason.

Yo Gabba Gabba!

Every year when the Yo Gabba Gabba! Show comes to Los Angeles we make the trek out to Nokia Theater to check it out. Ever since Collin was a baby we’d watch every episode on repeat and we’ve always enjoyed going to watch it in person. Besides being entertaining, for adults too, the show’s musical guest are always entertaining as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m horrible at updating this now.

A few months late on this but I’m going to do my best to play catch up regardless of what’s been going on (and you’ll soon see why it’s been busy, if you don’t know me.) For those of you that have stuck around, thanks!

Anyways, the first update of almost fifteen that I’m behind is Thanksgiving… yes, the Thanksgiving that takes place in November. Enjoy!
