Jude’s First One-On-One with Grandpa!

With schedules clearing up and everything else finally slowing down, we finally had a chance to take Jude on his first cross country flight to go visit grandpa out in Pennsylvania. The moment these two met, you could feel the love they had towards each other. Whether Jude was sitting in grandpas lap or lying down holding his hand, these two were inseparable the entire time.

Unfortunately this was the only time that Jude was able to spend with grandpa who passed a few months later. We all cherish the time we had with you, sir and I’m forever grateful for allowing me to marry your one and only daughter. Thanks for always being genuine.

We miss you, grandpa.

Jordan Brand – Blake Griffin Lift Off

Our friends from the Jordan Brand marketing team invited us to the Blake Griffin Lift Off event in Santa Monica where they were debuting Blake’s new show along with a mini dunk contest and press conference. Before the release, Collin was able to get down on the court and show off some of his dribbling skills.

San Francisco – I Love You.

Missing our friends in San Francisco, we decided yo make a weekend out of it and go check out the WEKFEST event at the same time. As usual, eating was the centerpiece of the the trip – because well, we’re heifers. Oh yeah, this was Jude’s first trip on an airplane and he rocked it!

Kylie’s Decication.

Kylie’s dedication took place at Saddleback Church and my dad and mom as well as Mei’s sister and her family came to town to take part. Even though we don’t get to spend much time with my dad, it was great to be able to see him for a few days so he could meet Jude and take part in Kylie’s dedication.

World, Meet Jude Marcel Tjin!

I’ve been doing this “blog” thing for a good while now and this is definitely in my top three favorite updates to date. If you know me, you know I love being around kids, especially my niece, Kylie and my nephew, Collin and after a nine months of anticipation, Kim and I finally welcomed our first child.

From the get-go, we decided we’d wait to find out what the sex is and somehow, we managed to make it the entire time without a doctor slipping up, or my ridiculous brother trying to figure it out beforehand. Personally, it never mattered to me whether or not it would be a boy or a girl as long as the baby was healthy. As cliche as it sounds, if you have children I’m pretty sure you can definitely relate.

While living on the Costa Mesa / Newport Beach, CA border, we figured going to HOAG out there would be the best thing for us, not just because of the distance but because we had heard nothing but great things about it. From the staff to the rooms, everything about our (way too long) stay was great. For the week that we spent there, and me managing to not go crazy from being in that room for a week long, we had an amazing group of family and friends that came through. The usual suspects of Neil, Mei, Collin, Kylie and Kim’s mom made their way down but my incredible sister and her equally incredible husband cut their own vacation short to come to CA and meet Jude.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and this dude has been nothing short of a blessing for Kim and I. We look forward to what’s in store and can’t wait to watch him grow up. Enjoy the picture dump below of our week long stay at HOAG.
