Yosemite National Park!

A few months ago Neil and Mei asked if I wanted to use their time share in the coming months because they wouldn’t be able to go so Kim and I checked out what our options were and we figured we’d try something different. At first we wanted to head out to Klamath Falls, OR but when that was booked we ended up with Angels Camp, CA. Since I had no clue where that was I figured I’d check it out on Google Maps and found out it wasn’t too far from Yosemite National Park.

We started planning what we wanted to do and figured we’d invite Dantana and Krisheila from San Francisco to come kick it out in the wilderness with us. Fast forward to this past weekend and they made the short trip out, while Kim and I made the trek from Southern California. Overall the drive up wasn’t bad… until Kim decided to see if she could beat a blown out tire that someone in front of us kicked up in a game of chicken. As you can see by the picture below, she lost. Anyways, after getting in Friday evening, we just made some dinner, hung out and called it an early night since we’d be making the 100+ mile drive out to Yosemite.

Saturday morning came and we were off through the windy roads of Northern California and close to three hours later we finally hit the park. Since none of us had ever been there we weren’t really sure how awesome the day would be but within seconds we hit an overlook and knew we’d be in for a great day. Throughout the day we were all over the park from Glacier Point to the Mariposa Groves (which you really have to see in person to understand the incredible size of the sequoias,) and a few places in between without be disappointed once… oh, except when I was on the edge of an 8,000+ foot high cliff with no rail. Not enjoyable… at all.

Alright, below are pics from the drive up and the day at Yosemite, next up are the white water rapids adventure… stay tuned!
